LeCiel is an autodidactic American sound artist, producer, vocalist-writer, live performer, film composer, dancer, and entrepreneur with a presence spanning the Yucatán and Berlin. Rooted in innovation, technology, fashion, art, and cultural community, her work seamlessly bridges disciplines, crafting immersive sonic and visual experiences.
Her projects have resonated across radio airwaves, film festivals, contemporary art spaces, and major cultural institutions, with features at Outfest, MCA Chicago, and the University of Maryland Art Gallery, among others. She has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe, bringing her genre-defying sound to stages and exhibitions worldwide.
In 2018, LeCiel was featured in a live performance at Erica Synths Garage, and in 2021, her release The Art of Practice emerged from Berlin’s renowned nightclub and label, Paloma. She later featured on Brazilian-born producer Joyce Muniz's 2023 record Zeitkapsel. She has since become an integral part of the Gaswerksiedlung and Rooms of Kairos community in Berlin and, in 2023, performed at the inaugural Gaswerk Music Days festival. Most recently, she took the stage at Berghain for Dasha Rush’s Hunger to Create event in 2024.
Currently, LeCiel is working on a collaborative piece featuring the late, acclaimed poet, writer, and educator Nikki Giovanni. As she finalizes upcoming projects, her focus expands to curating boundary-pushing events with the launch of her newly founded label, WEHU, dedicated to fostering sonic and artistic exploration.
